The annual Polka Boy picnic/concert

Friday night was the annual Polka Boy concert at Cool Creek park. We packed a dinner and got great seats up front. As usual it was a great evening... here are the pictures I could post (they got a little scary towards the end of the evening)!

What is that look Sam? Dan looks happy.

Noblesville Street Dance

On Saturday night we headed to downtown Noblesville for the annual Street Dance. The streets are closed, there are games and prizes for the kids, live music, and local food vendors offer a "taste of Noblesville". It was a great time and we can't wait for next year!

Streets are closed and thousands of Noblesville residents gather downtown.
The kids played games for tokens near the courthouse they could trade in for prizes... they had a blast!
I am not sure why Syd looks so pained in this shot.
Dancin' in the street!
No festival is complete without face painting!

Aaron enjoys some yummy Pan Asian Grill!

The girls check out an old fire engine on display.

Syd is so excited to dig into the kettle corn on the way home.

I wish I was an Oscar Mayer Wiener...

Thats right folks... the Wienermobile was here! As we were driving home from visiting some friends and their super cute new little baby in the hospital (a special shout out to Jasper Sterley!!!) we passed the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile at the Kroger down the road... so of course we had to stop!

One of 6 Wiener Mobiles that travel around the US.
The girls decked out some "wieners" with their favorite toppings for a photo op.
And of course there were free hot dogs!
And of course Sitota LOVED his!

One small step for.... Sitota!

Yes, he has started walking. I keep getting reminded by everyone that "now he will really be into everything". I doubt it... there really isn't anything he can get into now that he didn't when he was crawling. He is quite resourceful. Anyway, I love this video. He is so happy with himself that he is walking until he falls. Then he gives me an evil look that says "why did you knock me down?"

a tooth, a cow, and a roman candle...

This past week, Isabel lost her first tooth! She was so excited and walked around practically glowing afterwards, showing EVERYONE the hole that used to house her tooth. That night the tooth fairy came and left a dollar which raised the age old question "What does the tooth fairy do with all those teeth?" Isabel thinks she builds onto her castle made of teeth. Creepy.

This is the before picture... not sure why it is so fuzzy.
The after shot, showing the missing tooth.
Although it rained the entire fourth of July, the 5th and 6th proved much nicer. So... we gave the kids some sticks of fire to play with. Really, it never seems like a good idea to give people who can't even tie their own shoes, flaming items. But, they had a blast (he he :) )
Check out Syd's outfit. What style!

Earlier that day, Isabel got to go bowling for her friend Zac's birthday party and Syd was feeling pretty bummed without her big sis around so we had a little picnic. Parker came over and learned about a little something called Cheez-Its!
Then later we went to Maggie Moo's- our favorite ice cream place! Syd was chillin and ready to meet the actual Maggie. When she finally met the overly large cow, she exclaimed, "This is the first time in my life I have met a real cow!". Hmmm... maybe it is time for a visit to a farm.
The girls loved the cow. They danced, they sang, they had a great time.

Sitota on the other hand, didn't think any part of it was fun. He distrusted the cow from the first moment...
and never took his eyes of the cow the whole night.
