Chicago!

This past weekend we travelled up to Chicago to hang out with some of Sitota's orphanage buddies! We met up with two of the couples from our travel group (one from the Cincinnati area and one from the Twin Cities area) for a fun weekend. We had a fun time and it was so cute to see Sitota, Tseganesh, and Lydia all together. It was amazing to see how much they have all changed in the 6 months since we have been home. We found out that besides their curly hair, they all share the same high pitched, ear wrenching scream! You couldn't tell which kid was screaming, they all sounded the same! Perhaps the nannies are teaching the kids this in the orphanage?!

Here are the kids all ready for the trip! We picked Isabel up from school and headed up. The 3 hour trip was long.... Sitota practiced screaming for half of it, and Isabel felt the need to ask the age old question, "Are we there yet" or some form of it for practically the entire trip.

On the bus... going to Shedd's. The girls love public transport! Seriously, riding the buses and trains are as much fun for them as the actual places we are going to.

We stayed in Naperville (a very cute suburb) and got to eat at my all time favorite pizza place, Giordano's! We spent Sunday on the riverwalk before eating at a great little Argentinean restraunt followed by a few hours at the Dupage Children's museum.

As we were debating where to eat, I turned around to see Syd sitting on this statue.

After a long weekend, we head home. It was a nice, quiet ride.
